Taking one overlapping dose of Lexapro wont have much of any effect. If you did it everyday for more than a couple weeks, then it would be considered a change in your dosage over a period of time long enough to be considered an increased regular dosage, and you would begin to feel a change. Whether for the good or for the bad I couldn't say.

I increased my own dosage a couple months ago, form the 20mg I'd been on for years, to 30mg and it took over a month before I realized I was feeling better than ever, had more energy, and way less crying spells.

I've accidently taken an extra dose of Lexapro more than once over the past few years by accident, and it never did anything. Just wasted a Lexapro pretty much.

Your morning after feelings of weirdness, anxiousness, fast hear rate and trouble focusing could be anything from worrying about taking the extra Lexapro to having a bad nights sleep. Of couse it really could be something physical rather than anxiety or poor sleep, so don't get me wrong. I just don't believe the extra Lexapro (in itself) had anything to do with your weird out of focus morning.

Take care of yourself,
