I am very much an HSP, but I was also a quiet baby and small child who didn't "fuss" much. However, my sensitivity manifested because I was terrified of loud noises, and couldn't stand "scratchy" clothes or sheets. Everyone's a little different. I read the HSP book last year and I found it really helped me give me a sense of clarity to my actions and reactions. I wish more people were aware of HSP. Perhaps that would lead to greater empathy for people with our temperaments. Even my mother dismisses me by saying I'm just being "overly sensitive" about things. This does not help.
